Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is looking for our next Sr. Maximo Developer/Analyst (ITP-A). The Sr. Maximo Developer/Analyst serves as a lead on the Enterprise Asset Management Team, working to maintain and operate our Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS).
Leading a team of 3 developers, you'll cooperate to perform critical analysis and development, maintaining SPU's work and asset management system including complex business and critical integrations to our enterprise financial, customer billing, and GIS systems. This is an exciting role where you'll also have the opportunity to develop the technology roadmap for our applications.

Job Responsibilities
In this role you will lead EAMS technology transformation and integration projects, recommend and implement technology standards, and software development best practices. Partnering with our EAMS core team, business and vendors, you'll work together to build and deliver innovative solutions to complex business problems.There are three primary areas of focus for this role; Integration /Application Development, Requirements/Analysis, and Best Practice Guidance.Within these areas, here are some of the responsibilities you'll have:
Integration /Application Development
Consolidation/streamlining of existing architecture to ensure ongoing compatibility with system upgrades and evolving business needs
Maintaining current and future Maximo implementations; triaging and resolving production issues related to Maximo and integrated systems
Development and execution of software test plans (unit, backend, integration testing) and coordination of user acceptance testing
Reviewing, testing, and deployment of asset management systems security enhancement patches
Leading release migration, performance testing and tuning, upgrade and patch installation testing
Providing production support to analyze day-to-day issues and respond quickly to resolve problems, minimizing business impact
Leading a cloud transition for EAM platform and systems that underpin several enterprise products and capabilities
Requirements/Analysis:
Translation of business requirements into clear, concise documentation in support of scalable, robust, and flexible solution development
Ensuring system designs meet all specifications, quality, architectural and security standards
Best Practice Guidance:
Ensuring base Maximo functionality is leveraged to meet business needs before designing custom solutions
Development of end user training materials and conduct training sessions for system administrators, and application maintenance staff
Continuously scanning the software development landscape and Maximo Ecosystem for new technologies and methods to achieve results that can be incorporated into the enterprise
Staying up-to-date on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to EAMS such as Predictive Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Digital Twins and AI.

Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
Five (5) years’ experience developing scalable and dependable solutions for integrating IBM Maximo Asset Management with external enterprise systems using the Maximo Integration Framework and leveraging REST API
Three (3) years serving as integration development technical lead
Five (5) years’ experience implementing, configuring, and supporting Maximo 7+ including familiarity with core work, asset, planning, warehouse, and procurement capabilities
Three (3) years of Oracle PL/SQL development experience preferably in support of systems integration
Experience with Agile and Scrum
Desired Skills/Experience:
Experience with IBM MAS8
Ability to conduct complex applications support research, evaluate alternatives, make sound recommendations, and prepare effective technical reports
Ability to evaluate and develop improvements to applications support operations, procedures, policies, or methods
Proven track record of managing multiple high-profile projects simultaneously and delivering results with limited supervision
Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Information
This position allows for the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. Employees will be required to come into the office a minimum of twice week. Individual schedules will be agreed upon by the employee and their supervisor.
